During February 2007, there was a “Mad Hatters Luncheon & Fashion Show” held at The Club in Birmingham, Alabama in support of the American Cancer Society to “Find A Cure”. Betty Rollins designed and created a fabulous hat that won 1st prize at the event! It incorporated satin, pink ostrich feathers, and small unique purses arranged all around and on top of the hat. Some dollar bills were placed as decorations within the different purses. There was also a theme displayed on a satin ribbon stating, “Help Us Find The Cure”. The hat has been on display at Hair Options and will continue on display through Fall 2007. Customers and visitors have taken it upon themselves to stuff the purses with additional dollars! The money will be donated to the American Cancer Society later this year.
